If people want to believe in the idea that a new year is a new start and a new beginning, let them. We all know that life carries on to the next year, there’s no running away. Of course it’s not a “new, fresh start.” But what about the people that need to hold on to that idea? What’s wrong with letting people believe that they have new opportunities? What’s...

The end of last school year/the beginning of this...
The end of last school year. Won Senior Class President. Prom. Said goodbye to 2011 Seniors. Cried saying goodbye. Senior shirt group. Doing nothing, and I mean NOTHING, in all of my AP classes. Taking the SAT. BARELY passing AP Bio. Senior Walk. At the end of the last school year, I decided that I’m not going to keep myself in a shell any longer. I only had one year of high school left and...
The funnest getaway
As for vacations, I didn’t travel anywhere in 2011. Instead, I took this year to explore what’s around me. The funnest getaway though, would have to be my cousin’s house where I dogsitted when they were off on vacation. Even though it was just a week, it felt like I had my own house. Had a lot of fun hanging out there by myself, bringing friends over, playing house. :)

My Birthday
This summer, I turned 17. I was contemplating a whole lot whether or not to throw a birthday party, but I decided it’s the summer before Senior Year and I never do anything like that so why the hell not. Turns out that I was glad I had that house party. A LOT of people came; it was a really surprising turnout! It was just fun being surrounded by all my friends all in one place. Like...

I really hope Albert Nguyen makes it, I don’t know him but it would show that miracles really do happen. I think it would inspire people to be nicer to each other and value every moment we have together..instead of treating each other like shit. Stay strong kid, for some reason I have faith he’ll make it even though his chances are slim and he was pronounced dead last night, yet is...
Best/Worst Days of 2011
Best Days: Homecoming Day. I know there’s a lot of good ones but if I had to choose one it’d be the 5 minutes before, the 5 minutes during, and the 5 minutes after the moment Senior Class performed Toy Story. The whole day was a brain wrecker, and because we did SO HORRIBLY for morning practice and because it seemed like we were so NOT prepared, I was just dreading the failure of the...

Day 2: Relationship(s).
My relationship with Danny got off to a rough start in the beginning of the year, but we pulled through and now I believe that we get stronger every day. Two and half years and we’re still learning about each other and understanding more about each other every day. Each day that goes by, there is more wisdom gained and used towards our relationship. We fight over the stupid stuff less and...
Day 1: A few things you will never forget in 2011.
Junior Year was the hardest year of high school. I can’t say it was rewarding because I didn’t do my best but I’m glad I survived it.
AP BIO almost killed me but I didn’t let it.
Started out the new year with a new companion: Flapjack <3
Danny and I broke up for a while over something horrible and misunderstood.
Drank alcohol for the first time and everybody made a...

i’m in the middle...
I’ve basically lived in Garden Grove my entire life. I know it so well. And although I look forward to moving on and adventuring new places, I’m scared as hell. No more Tastea runs for a comfort drink. No more childhood friends living all around you. No more Korean BBQ. No more biking around town. No more grubbing off some 50 percent off pho. Garden Grove may be a piece of crap town to...
